B201 | Conference Venue

10 Symonds Street

Situated in the heart of Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland’s city campus, the newly refirbished B201 will be host to the majority of ITAC7.

Awarded the 6 Green Star Design Review Certificate from The New Zealand Green Build Building Council (NZGBC), B201 has a stunning Atrium, lecture theatres with ocean views and studio spaces.

For here is where we land and learn
Here we challenge and yearn
Here we press and transgress
And here is where we never forget

That as knowledge moves
It always grows
Circulates, connects
Equips and embolds

So, welcome to Building 201
Our work, our play, has just begun.

Getting There

Parking – the closest parking is in the Owen G Glenn Building (OGGB). Access to the car park is via Grafton Road. More information can be found here. Mobility parking spaces (spaces that are larger and nearer to access ways) are available within the building car park. A CCS mobility car parking permit is required to park in these spaces.

Walking – this is a great option for those close enough. We recommend entering via the main entrance at 10 Symonds Street

Cycling – free bike racks are available across campus. You can find the locations here.

Public transport – 1,700 buses pass by (or close) to the University’s City Campus daily from the airport. Trains and ferries are a 15-20 minute walk away or a very short ride by bus. Find your best options at Auckland Transport Journey Planner.

Accessibility

B201 is mobility and wheelchair accessible and has accessible and unisex toilets. Find out more here. If you have any specific accessibility needs, be sure to let us know at itac7@auckland.ac.nz
